Book Review: JavaScript Patterns
Yikes! This book, by Stoyan Stefanov, creator of YSlow among other things, is barely 200 pages, but JavaScript Patterns is absolutely packed with JavaScript concepts and patterns that require hours of exercise to fully grasp.
Definitely not for beginners, JavaScript Patterns will challenge and reward your hard work with deep knowledge of this have-to-know language. If I had one criticism of the book, it is very dense: every sentence seems to provide a new (valuable) lesson. Like Crockford's JavaScript: The Good Parts, Stefanov's JavaScript Patterns is the encapsulation of years of experience and learning. I cannot see how any developer would fail to get a great deal from the book. Highly recommended.
